Keep It Hot v0.1 Changelog
This update is a minor update containing changes that I didn't have time to include during the gamejam, as well as bugfixes and a UI redesign. I am currently working on adding more content, but this will be included in a future update.
I might also work in other projects or gamejam, so I cannot say when the next update will be released for now.
Changes:
- Updated the UI to make it easier to read;
*The progress bar are now vertically alligned, next to the playing area.
*The progress bar now display the number of hits left.
*The progress bar change color depending on how much hits are left.
*The heat bar has been retextured into a thermometer.
*The heat bar now fills up depending on the temperature instead of using a separate indicator
- Added particles showing the number of money earned after each hits
- Updated the tutorial to reflect these changes.
Balance:
- Previously, hitting the same sword without completing it until the song was over was the best way to generate money; Now, hitting the sword any more than required to complete it will decrease the number of money earned after each hit exponentially, might be changed later to be less sudden.
- The song now start with a first sword that only requires 3 hits, and each time a sword is completed the number of hit will increase up to a point.
Fixes:
- Fixed a bug that allowed the player to hit two circles at once.
- Removed the stray "[" showing before the game ending message.
- Fixed a bug where the star particles weren't being displayed when players hit a note.
Known Issues:
- The particles that show the amount of money earned after each hit are not displaying in the build version.
